Portal Creek, who was claimed for $25,000 by Ten Strike Racing in February of this year, made her graded stakes debut on Saturday in the G3 Go For Wand at Aqueduct.
Showing her trademark speed, she put on an outstanding performance, pushing co-favorite Sharp Starr to her limits from the top of the lane to the wire. While Portal Creek would finish 2nd, she was only beaten a neck while posting a career best 96 Beyer Speed Figure after back to back victories at Parx.
