Ten Strike Racing is a racing partnership operated by two racehorse owners and horse players. Both Clay Sanders and Marshall Gramm have been involved with several racing partnerships through their ownership career, both getting to taste the top end of the business with Breeders Cup winner Dayatthespa and G1 winner Watsdachances (IRE). Their ten years of ownership inspired them to start their own partnership combining all of their experiences and knowledge to form what they believe is a great ownership experience.

What Makes a Good Partnership?

The key to Ten Strike is excellent communication and honesty and working with top industry professionals all the way through. Ten Strike employs leading trainer Brad Cox based at Churchill Downs, Oaklawn Park, The Fair Grounds, Saratoga, and Keeneland and uses top lay-up and breaking facilities in Ocala, Florida. Brad wins at 28% with an in the money percentage of nearly 60% and is a very important member of the team. Ten Strike combines claiming horses, yearling sales, two-year-old in training sales, and breeding to put together a diverse package of horses available for fractional ownership each year.

Ten Strike Racing calls Oaklawn Park home taking advantage of their lucrative purse structure and fun racing environment. While the horses only spend four months there it is a location of several fun events and the highlight of the year, Arkansas Derby Day.

The passion Ten Strike feels for thoroughbred racing is second to none and bringing in new partners allows us to share our excitement and experience and expand our stable in the constant pursuit of the next “big horse”.
